Our Commitment to Organic Farming

At Gir Gowal, sustainability is not a trend—it is a way of life. Our farming practices are deeply rooted in traditional organic methods that respect the soil, water, and natural ecosystem. We nourish our land using vermicompost and natural fertilizers derived from cow dung, ensuring nutrient-rich, chemical-free cultivation.
To conserve water responsibly, we employ modern drip irrigation systems that maximize efficiency while minimizing wastage. Crop health and flowering are supported through time-tested natural pesticides and bio-sprays, prepared from ingredients such as buttermilk, cow urine, neem leaves, jaggery, Panch Palav (a traditional blend of karanji, neem, akda, sitagadi, and mango leaves), turmeric, lemon juice, peppermint leaves, soapnut solution, ginger, garlic, and green chili.
Every step of our farming process is carried out with care and integrity. No chemical fertilizers or synthetic pesticides are used at any stage, preserving the purity of our produce and the vitality of the land. Our Livestock – Care Rooted in Tradition & Compassion

At Gir Gowal, our livestock is the heart of everything we do. Our farm is home to 48+ pure Indian-origin Gir cows, nurtured with devotion, respect, and deep cultural values. Each cow is cared for by experienced and dedicated caretakers who approach their work not merely as a duty, but as a service to Kamdhenu, performed with joy, sincerity, and compassion.
Our cows are raised in natural surroundings within the dense forest regions of Gir, Talala, allowing them to live stress-free lives in harmony with nature. They are maintained under fully hygienic conditions, meeting all legal and veterinary standards, with no history of disease or infection. Proper nutrition, clean shelter, and gentle handling ensure both physical and mental well-being.
The caretakers are trained in good animal handling practices, ensuring the cows are nurtured with patience and understanding. Our cows are fed a balanced, chemical-free diet, including soybean husk, groundnut, wheat, corn, jowar, bajra, cottonseed, pulses, lentils, marvel grass, Panicum repens, and sugarcane. This diverse natural feed strengthens immunity, promotes overall health, and supports the healthy growth of calves.
We firmly believe that a calf has the first right to its mother’s milk. Before any milking process begins, calves are fed to full satisfaction, ensuring both the cow and calf remain calm, content, and emotionally secure. Only then is milk gently collected, maintaining harmony, compassion, and ethical responsibility at every step.
